13th-14th of May 2006 – “The Days of the National Military Museum”

On the occasion of this edition of “The Days of the National Military Museum”, dedicated to the Romanian Army during the reign of King Carol I., the members of the reenactment groups of the 6th Dorobantzes Regiment „Michael the Brave” and 4th Artillery Regiment „King Ferdinand I.” have presented drill and shooting exercises with infantry firearms and artillery dating from 1877-78. For the first time, we had guests from Bulgaria, our comrades from the association „Traditsia”, in uniforms of Bulgarian volunteers of the same historical times. During the festivities, we awarded the rank of Honorary Colonel of the association „6 Dorobantzes” and the medal „Military Tradition” to the renowned historian Neagu Djuvara, for his outstanding contribution to the study of Romanian history, as well as for his participation to WW II. as 2nd lieutenent in the 6th Dorobantzes Guards Regiment „Michael the Brave”. At the end of the show, all participants in historical uniforms were awarded the medal „Military Tradition” with the bar „MMN – 2006”.
