1. He begins world war I in command of 7 Division, then takes command of V Corps in July 1917. Did he go directly from division command to corps command.
2. Prior to the war he served a stint as chief of staff. Most armies seem to use chief of staff as the highest job and division command as a lower job. Was it unusual to go from chief of staff to division command in th Romanian army?
